Abstract
One hundred and sixty-three strains of staphylococci from cases and seventy-two strains of staphylococci from carriers were studied.
1. Marked differences were shown in fermentation of mannitol, and production of phosphatase, alph,& delta lysin, fibrinolysin, protease, DNase, lipase and chromogenesis except beta lysin productior between coagulase positive and negative strains of staphyococci isolated from lesion.
2. No significant differences were shown in fermentation of mannitol, and production of phosphatase, DNase, alpha and beta lysin and chromogenes is between coagulase positive strains of staphylococci isolated from cases and carriers.
